He would train new people to be his boss. One day he confronted the president of the company about the situation. He told his boss how unfair he was being treated even though he had twenty years of experience with the company. The president sat the man down and told him, “No! You only have one year of experience repeated for twenty years.”

How long have you been in your line of business? Are you getting new knowledge or are you applying old knowledge? If we are going to thrive and survive in these turbulent times, we must expand our minds. And one of the best ways is to attend adult learning classes at the local colleges, universities, and technical schools—the evening classes.

 

5) Find Time For a Quiet Reflection

The great philosophers, thinkers, scientist, and business gurus always find quiet time to be alone—to ponder, recharge, and flood their minds with pictures of what they want. We should never be too busy chasing a dream without seeing it in our minds.

There comes a time when the burdens are too heavy. This is when we need to enter our inner world to examine our life. Quiet reflection is a time to get to know the invisible power that sustains our lives.

Einstein said that imagination is life’s coming attraction. When we flood our minds with clear and vivid picture of what we want, we activate the law of attraction on our behalf. We become like a living magnet attracting that which we imagine.

Since the subconscious mind doesn’t know the difference between facts and imagination, it causes us to behave in a manner that is consistent with our dominant thoughts. Quiet time for reflection should be an essential part of what we do to prepare ourselves
